The Raven, Pandemic+Kinetech Arts Open Lab Edition: Open Lab Summary 12/02

Once upon a pandemic Wednesday dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary

Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore

While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a Zoom call,

As of someone gently art-ing, (farting?) at my laptop for

A Kinetech Art Open Lab at 6 pm. Only this and nothing more.

Ah, distinctly I remember, it was in the bleak December

And each separate dying Covid patient wrought its ghost upon the floor.

Eagerly I wished the morrow; vainly I had sought to borrow

From my books surcease of sorrow - sorrow for the lost Maskless Before

For the rare and radiant days whom Liberal Media call The Before

Nameless here forever more.

As we entered Kinetech Lab, my soul grew stronger, hesitating then no longer,

"Sirs," said I, "Madams, truly your forgiveness I implore;

But the fact is now it's time for Pandemic Poetry Fun Times, and you can also do some rapping,

If you faintly do some tapping, dancing, treat your Zoom box as a dance floor,

And now one of us will say things and the rest of us will dance some more,

And Wei will do some weird tech stuff galore" – here I opened wide the door –

Darkness there and nothing more.

Open here I flung the shutter, when with many a flirt and flutter,

In there stepped a stately Raven of the saintly days of yore;

Not the least social distance regulations-compliance was he; not safely Covid tested was he;

But with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door –

Perched upon a bust of Pallas to watch the Green Screen effect Wei had in store.

Quoth the Raven, "Stay up to date with Kinetech Arts by subscribing to our meetup group is here and come do some weird art tech stuff with us between 6-7:15 PM Pacific time on Wednesdays!"
